STORY OF A NEUROTIC PERSON FROM RAMAYANA
They entered into thick forest which was quite fearful. Vishwamitra told them that was the place where Indra killed vrithasura . The place then became a kingdom with suketu as its king. He got a daughter as Thataki who was strong as thousand elephants after her son Maricha's birth ,her husband died .Thataki was young beautiful and strong but alone with her son . She had no one to console or comfort or advice her .
Her lonliness , lack of education and direction in life and easy availability of riches made her mentally weak , frustrated and mad ; she lost her awareness of the surroundings and clothes and started roaming naked taking her son maricha also along with her .People were afraid of her elephantine and lunatic strength and used to run away fron her .Their behaviour enraged her even more and she became desponent having lost her all sense.
When she came before Agastya muni in this condition ,he cursed her to become an ugly demoness .She and her son maricha became asuras and started eating humans and animals .They harassed munis doing yagnas and when she saw vishwamitra , Shri Rama and lakshmana ,she came running to kill them .Vishwamitra told Shri Rama her story and requested him to liberate her .Shri Rama killed her using his arrows .Thataki was relieved from her pathetic life and curse .Mareecha ran away to a far off place and joined subahu and was waiting for an opportunity to kill Shri Ram.
The plot of the story is similar to JOKER's story (recently released) , it shows the dark aspect of human life .. and unfortunately its everyone's story out there .. seems very wierd but true at the same time.Power , wealth and free reins to do anything makes us dark. Same happened with thataki, she got involved into so much of pleasures (after the death of her husband ) that she became totally engrossed inside the ignorance .
Entertainment industry is constantly pushing us all towards this we are fed with literally high levels of ignorance ,for example you can see how theaters are made pitch dark while showing a movie what it means is putting ourselves into deeper levels of brainwashing etc.
just look at your sides at once how many people are addict of their mobile phones why this has happened is this because entire world is going through certain levels of neurosis.
This is simply because modern man has stopped using his body into large extent .In the past people intensly involved with lot of physical ativity ,a lot of your neurosis has worked out.your nervous energy got spent.I know many of my friends who had psycological problems .They just started swimming or playing some sport daily then everything became okay because of enormous activity their energy was expended . Human has become more neurotic than past .As a general phenomenon in olden times there was one Thataki but now there are many thatakis prevalent in this world.
This builds up into your system over a period of time . Then your physical and emotional energy needs some outlet .That is how bars ,clubs ,hookups trend has come into place .People have to work out their neurosis somewhere ,somehow .so people go to prostitutes ,do rapes if they dont have any wife or girlfriend ..There is another way to release it you meditate and you work out ,not because you have to flaunt your curves and muscles or show off your intelligence but to find a certain sense of relaxation and relief for yourself.
