On both sides of the ecliptic there is an imaginary belt of 9-9 inside which all these grahas revolve. This broad belt of 18 is called as zodiac. To facilitate the study each zodiac is divided into 12 equal parts. Each part is called sign or Rashi.
Rashis from Aries (mesha) to pisces (meena).
zodiac is divided into 27 equal parts this division is called as nakshatra which runs from Ashwini to Revati.
Grahas are the planetary bodies from sun to saturn .. sun doesn't move but when you look from earth it seems to move in the zodiac belt , since we prepare the birth chart through point of consideration from earth , this is why earth is not included in prime nava graha.
